Job summary

The position requires an associate or bachelor's degree in relevant science, with 2–4 years of nonwaived testing experience; MLS/Certification preferred. Salary starts at $33.33/hour; a drug-free work environment is maintained.

Qualifications

• Two possible pathways: AS degree with 4 years of lab training/experience or bachelor’s with 2 years of nonwaived testing experience.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF or equivalent for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of MLT/MLS at a high competency level and provides operational leadership on shift.
• Ensures quality control/QA procedures and regulatory compliance (CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
• Monitors quality systems, records, and documentation for accrediting bodies.
• Assists with cost analysis and department financial performance to improve productivity.
• Provides coaching, orientation, and staff competency assessments; participates in projects.
• Acts as liaison for on-site/system issues and coordinates with management.

Education

Associate degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science or clinical laboratory science

Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science
