Jefferson Health is seeking a Supervisor Support Services - Laboratory in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role oversees Lab Assistant personnel and the handling, processing, labeling, and distribution of samples used for diagnosis and treatment.

The supervisor must be able to fulfill all duties of a Lab Assistant as needed. Under supervision of the Manager or Director, you will train staff, manage performance, hire and discipline, and ensure compliance with departmental policies while coordinating with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 years medical laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of Lab Assistants.
• Distributes work to staff based on assessment of operational needs.
• Schedules staff to ensure adequate department coverage within budget constraints.
• Reviews, revises and implements department policies and procedures, plans, and objectives.
• Trains employees and provides regular performance feedback; handles hiring, terminating and disciplining in consultation with the Manager.
• Evaluates equipment, techniques, and workflow patterns.
• Coordinates pre- and post-analytical laboratory functions with laboratory operations.
• Keeps manager informed on department progress, problems, and budget.
• Maintains documentation to satisfy regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager/director.
