Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Lab Instrument and Software Analyst to oversee configuration, optimization, and data analytics for the laboratory middleware and diagnostic automation line in Champaign, IL.

The role interfaces with vendors, IT, LIS, and end users to resolve system and workflow issues, ensuring accurate specimen routing and seamless multi-platform integration across Chemistry, Hematology, and Coagulation modules.

Qualifications

• MLS certifications within 1 year (AMT/ASCP) required or in progress.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Core lab experience and understanding of lab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end diagnostic equipment installations, modifications, additions, and upgrades.
• Manage informatics platforms to connect analyzers with LIS and EHR networks.
• Configure automation software to optimize specimen routing, auto-verification, and data mining.
• Serve as SME for system implementations, testing, and validations for applicable applications and hardware.
• Coordinate problem resolution with internal and external technical support personnel.
• Manage process and procedural changes based on application functionality; assist with LIS/EHR builds and testing.
