Job summary

Providence is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist to support laboratory components of the EHR, clinical decision support, and LIS. The role involves collaborating to design efficient workflows, analyzing data to guide leadership decisions, and implementing changes aligned with safety and regulatory goals.

Travel between facilities is required; strong communication with clinicians, executives, and vendors is essential. Hybrid work from multiple Providence sites is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical discipline or IT/informatics or related field
• Minimum 2 years in a role with clinical information systems in healthcare
• Experience with EHR systems
• Experience with adult learning concepts

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application expertise to improve laboratory information systems
• Respond to improvement needs in laboratory computer systems operations
• Document system design and workflow processes for clinical/lab needs
• Serve as liaison between laboratory stakeholders and system build teams
• Ensure system design supports standardization, integration and compliance
