Job summary

Natera, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Equipment Associate to support laboratory instruments in our R&D lab. You will install, calibrate, maintain, repair, and document activities, serving as the main contact for safe equipment operations and services.

You will also assist with inventory, supply ordering, safety checks, audits, corrective actions, and cross-team communications to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with GDP and QA processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in biomedical engineering, biological sciences or related field.
• Industry-related experience, especially in supporting lab equipment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and/or perform instrument installations and qualifications per equipment protocols.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system concerns to minimize downtime.
• Work with Quality Assurance to determine qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration and preventive maintenance (PM) requirements.
• Communicate with vendors to generate price quotes and schedule PMs, calibrations, instrument repairs, and other services.
• Maintain a program for PM, routine maintenance and calibration to ensure lab equipment remains fit for purpose.
• Prepare equipment SOPs and support the Quality Management System policies and procedures.
