Job summary

Source One Technical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Lab Desktop Engineer for a consulting engagement at a pharmaceutical client in Malvern, PA. You will provide desktop support for R&D laboratories and support Windows 11 migration.

You will interact with Scientists and Vendors to upgrade operating systems, perform computer, equipment, and software support in a Research & Development environment, and document incident resolution steps while building a knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Well rounded desktop support background.
• Experience supporting laboratory environments.
• Pharmaceutical (or other regulated) industry experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform desktop support for R&D laboratories
• Windows 11 migration from 7 and 10
• Interact with Scientists and Vendors to upgrade OS to Windows 11 or 10 LTE
• Perform various computer, equipment, and software support tasks in a Research & Development laboratory environment
• Document incident resolution steps and create knowledge base articles
• Utilize ticketing systems such as JIRA and IRIS to update and complete tasks
• Utilize network monitoring tools to analyze traffic patterns and identify potential security threats
• Computer moves, adds and changes
• Configured and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches to support network segmentation initiatives
