Job summary

Source One Technical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Lab Desktop Engineer for a consulting engagement at a pharmaceutical client in Malvern, PA. You will provide desktop support for R&D laboratories and support Windows 11 migration.

You will interact with Scientists and Vendors to upgrade operating systems, perform computer, equipment, and software support in a Research & Development environment, and document incident resolution steps while building a knowledge base.

Qualifications

Well rounded desktop support background.
Experience supporting laboratory environments.
Pharmaceutical (or other regulated) industry experience.
Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

Perform desktop support for R&D laboratories
Windows 11 migration from 7 and 10
Interact with Scientists and Vendors to upgrade OS to Windows 11 or 10 LTE
Perform various computer, equipment, and software support tasks in a Research & Development laboratory environment
Document incident resolution steps and create knowledge base articles
Utilize ticketing systems such as JIRA and IRIS to update and complete tasks
Utilize network monitoring tools to analyze traffic patterns and identify potential security threats
Computer moves, adds and changes
Configured and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches to support network segmentation initiatives
