Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Windows Desktop Support Analyst (Lab Computing Analyst) for a role located in West Point, PA. This assignment involves providing professional-level technical support for data center operations and desktop/workstation issues.

Responsibilities include installing and troubleshooting server hardware and software, maintaining data integrity, monitoring performance, and communicating complex information to both technical and non-technical staff.

Qualifications

• Desktop Support / Windows Systems Support with minimum 2+ yearsof experience
• 2+ years of technical experience including Windows technologies including Microsoft Office, basic networking, remote computing and backup systems
• Experience with scientific instrumentation, Life Science environment, validated environment, GMP/ISO/FDA compliant facilities is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provides non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations

• Maintains access control, data integrity and file system security for the environment

Windows Desktop Support Analyst (Lab Computing Analyst)

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Windows Desktop Support Analyst (Lab Computing Analyst) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in West Point, PA 19486.

Pay Rate Range – $28-33/hr on W2

1-year assignment with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget

Job Description:

Applies professional-level technical skill and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations.

Installs, configures and troubleshoots server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting.

Maintains access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment.

Monitors, tracks and records system performance and utilization metrics. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.

Recommends process, hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center efficiency.

May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.

May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

Qualifications:

• Desktop Support / Windows Systems Support Specialist with minimum of 2+ yearsof experience (Bachelors Degree with 2 years / Associates Degree with 3years /HSD with 4+ years’ experience)
• 2+ years of technical experience including (but not limited to); Windows technologies including Microsoft Office, basic networking, remote computing and backup systems.
• Experience with scientific instrumentation, Life Science environment, validated environment, experience working in GxP, ISO, and FDA compliant facilities, pharma companies or hospitals will be a PLUS.
