The role requires excellent customer service, multitasking, and the ability to work across multiple IT systems, including EPIC, to support rapid specimen handling and result delivery in a busy lab environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification is preferred.
• Ability to learn and use multiple computer applications.
• Six months of employment in a healthcare setting is required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform patient EPIC registration from various documents.
• Work across multiple computer applications including insurance verification.
• Place laboratory orders and document all aspects of specimens and orders.
• Ensure specimen acceptability with correct patient identification and labeling.
• Prioritize and organize work according to urgent, non-urgent, and emergent needs.
