Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. is seeking an IT Help Desk and Field Support specialist in the Los Angeles area to be the first line of IT support for a busy airport program team. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, log requests, and coordinate onboarding and deployments across campus locations.

The role requires hands-on setup, strong communication, and the ability to work various shifts on-site in Los Angeles. Bachelor's degree in CS or 5+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience coordinating data-related projects or conversions.
• Willingness to travel/relocate on-site across campus as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Help Desk emails and log requests in Freshdesk, ServiceNow, and related tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues using established procedures.
• Assess severity and impact of outages and escalate when needed.
• Maintain clear communication to move incidents toward fast resolution.
• Manage staff onboarding and offboarding, hardware and software installs.
• Oversee staff deployments and relocations across campus locations.
• Provide IT support at division-wide events.
• Deliver on-job training and computer orientation for new staff.
