Job summary

Hunter+Sage seeks an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to design, implement, and manage company-wide learning, performance management, and succession planning programs. This is a hands-on program ownership role focused on building programs from the ground up, measuring impact, and continuously improving initiatives based on feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Training & Development, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant L&D, OD, performance management, or related responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build programs from ground up through design, implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.
• Experience developing and managing performance management and/or succession planning programs.
• Strong project management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience with LMS and HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs across the organization.
• Conduct organizational and department-level training needs assessments to identify skill gaps.
• Develop annual and department training plans aligned with business priorities.
• Create and facilitate programs supporting leadership development, employee growth, safety, and performance improvement.
• Maintain training materials and ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and systems.
• Manage the company's performance management process including goals, check-ins, evaluations, and development planning.
• Develop and maintain succession planning focused on critical roles and internal talent pipelines.
• Support managers with career pathing, coaching resources, cross-training, and development planning.
• Educate employees and managers on learning, performance management, and development processes.
• Develop metrics to evaluate training participation, knowledge transfer, and business impact.
• Analyze feedback and data to identify trends and development needs.
