Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker in Atlanta Commissary. The role supports kitchen and facility operations, focusing on cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, plus restocking and basic setup tasks. This full-time position requires a High School diploma or GED, knowledge of sanitation procedures, and an ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using specified chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, potentially over 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 35 pounds (50 pounds occasionally).
• Attend shifts on time and perform other duties as needed.
