Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker in Mayhew, MS to support kitchen and facility operations. You will help maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas, handling dishwashing, cleaning, and basic setup/breakdown tasks.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and have a High School diploma or equivalent. Full-time or part-time positions with varied shifts are available, with pay between $10 and $12 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Re-stock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
