Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, equipment, and dishware in a clean, sanitary condition and assist in food preparation. The role supports the TSFR Roadmap and aligns with Our Core Values while working in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities include dish washing, basic prep, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness across surfaces and equipment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on shelves at different heights.
• Works indoors most of the time; occasionally outdoors; hot and damp environments.
