Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Dearborn Heights, MI is seeking a General Utility to maintain clean and orderly kitchen areas, assist in food preparation, and uphold the restaurant's Core Values. The role involves dish handling, basic prep tasks, trash removal, and sanitary maintenance, with primarily indoor duties and some outdoor work in a hot, damp environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to lift up to 40 pounds, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Cleans work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Works indoors (90%), outdoors (10%).
• Works in a hot and damp environment.
• Responds in emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others.
