Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Detroit is seeking a General Utility to maintain clean kitchen areas, equipment, plateware and utensils, and assist in food preparation. The role supports our TSFR Roadmap and Core Values while working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You will handle dishwashing, prep tasks, trash removal, and surface cleaning, with occasional outdoor work and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Assist in food preparation procedures.
• Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes, load dishwasher.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand or machine.
• Perform prep tasks and maintain/dismantle dish machine.
• Transport cases up to 50 pounds; move between areas.
• Work indoors predominantly with some outdoor duties; respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in clean, sanitary condition.
• Assist in food preparation procedures.
• Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes and load dishwasher.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Complete all assigned prep work and manage dish machine maintenance.
• Transport cases up to 50 pounds several times per day.
• Work primarily indoors with some outdoor tasks; respond to emergencies.
