Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, equipment and dishware in a clean, sanitary state and support food preparation. The role involves frequent standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.

The position supports our TSFR Roadmap and works across indoor and outdoor settings, with duties ranging from dishwashing to prep tasks and trash removal. Training may emphasize safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety procedures.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work in fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Lifts cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Works indoors (90%), outdoors (10%) and in hot/damp environments.
