Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen associate to prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering functions. The role covers all kitchen positions, with pay varying by state and position.

Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, food prep, equipment operation, and maintaining cleanliness. Strong adherence to safety and HACCP procedures is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to perform basic math operations and compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment and basic safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at proper temperatures
• Assist in food prep according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory
• Requisition appropriate amounts of food and supplies through Kitchen Manager
