Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a kitchen crew member to assist with breakfast and lunch offerings, and to support serving lines and occasional catering functions.

You will perform a variety of kitchen duties, from food prep to cleaning, while adhering to recipes, safety rules, and FIFO inventory practices. The role requires ability to stand, lift moderate weights, and operate standard kitchen equipment in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month of related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write basic instructions and communicate with team.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set‑up of serving lines and maintain food temperature.
• Prepare foods according to menu and Opaa! recipes; batch cook as needed.
• Operate slicers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and practice FIFO inventory.
• Follow HACCP procedures; keep daily production records and safety logs.
