Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and support occasional catering in our school cafeterias.

You will perform all kitchen functions, from food prep to clean-up, following Opaa! recipes and standards. This role requires attention to food temperature, cleanliness, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to prepare foods according to menu and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines and ensure proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plan and recipes.
• Batch cook and present food attractively to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and use FIFO inventory practices.
• Assist with cleaning and dishwashing duties.
• Assist in catering functions as needed.
