Job summary

DIG INN Restaurant Teams is seeking a Chef-in-Training to join our scratch-based kitchens in a fast-paced setting. You will learn culinary skills, develop leadership capabilities, and contribute to a mission-driven team focused on real, good food.

Starting at $16–$18 per hour with $2–$3 per hour in tips and additional benefits, this role emphasizes growth in a collaborative, inclusive DIG environment. Training and hands-on experience across multiple kitchen stations are provided.

Qualifications

• A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
• The ability to demonstrate and execute a strong work ethic.
• The ability to perform physical requirements of the position (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes and taste as guidance.
• Gain exposure to different kitchen stations including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and packing.
• Speak to guests about current menu offerings, seasonality and ingredients to create a fresh scratch-made meal.
