Job summary

DIG INN Restaurant Teams in New York is seeking a Chef-in-Training to join our scratch-based kitchens. You will learn by doing across stations, gain leadership skills, and contribute to delivering real, flavorful meals in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a starting pay of $17–$18 per hour plus $2–$3 per hour in tips, and additional benefits. This role emphasizes growth, teamwork, and a shared mission to rebuild the food system while upholding safety and DIG’s standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains etc using recipes as a guide and taste buds for validation.
• Gain exposure to different stations within the DIG kitchen including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout.
• Speak to current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests - making their day as you provide them with a delicious scratch-made meal.
• Work to support the team during peak and off peak service, by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
