Job summary

HomeState Hospitalities is hiring a Team Lead for our Tex-Mex kitchen in Southern California. You will lead and train the team in collaboration with management, maintain high standards and a safe work environment, and assist with ordering and receiving products.

Expect to open/close shifts, monitor attendance, prepare reports, and uphold HomeState’s hospitality values. Prior kitchen leadership experience helps; weekend/evening availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a professional restaurant kitchen is preferred.
• Personable and enjoys working with people and a diverse team.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification Card (or be able to take a company provided course within 30 days of hire).
• Availability to work a minimum of five days per week; weekends/evening shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train in collaboration with management.
• Maintain standards and a safe, healthy working environment.
• Assist ordering and receiving products.
• Open or close the shift including attendance, breaks, shift reports, waste log, restaurant emails, and performance reporting.
• Not responsible for hiring, scheduling, disciplinary actions, or terminations.
