HomeState is a Tex Mex Kitchen in Southern California focused on warm hospitality and community. We are seeking a Kitchen Team Member to support multiple stations, ensure food safety, and maintain high standards of service.

The role includes working weekends and various shifts, with opportunities for advancement and a benefits program. The position offers a base wage with tip share, averaging $24–$28 per hour depending on shifts and performance, plus meals and employee perks.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a professional restaurant kitchen is preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification Card (or be able to take a company provided course within 30 days of hire).
• Availability to work weekends, day shifts and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce guest trust by complying with sanitation standards, portion sizes, recipes, builds, cooking/cooling methods, packaging and kitchen policies.
• Take on new opportunities and challenges with urgency and high energy; manage time efficiently and complete tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues during shifts and communicate honestly and transparently.
• Collaborate with team to support daily tasks and training, ensuring high-quality hospitality.
• Follow all HomeState standards and maintain attendance at shifts, trainings, and meetings.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures and conduct line checks.
