Job summary

DoorDash DashMart Kitchens in Charlotte, NC seeks a Kitchen Shift Lead to supervise shift-level kitchen execution, lead Kitchen Operations Associates and Shift Coordinators, and ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and inventory control in a shared DashMart facility.

You will collaborate with DashMart site leadership to align kitchen and warehouse operations, coach staff on safety and execution, and drive a One Team culture while contributing to workflow improvements and site performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, kitchen operations, or grocery leadership.
• Self-motivated, positive, and a team player with integrity.
• Passion for culinary execution and delivering high-quality meals.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for food safety and cleanliness.
• Comfortable leading in fast-paced, physically active environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willing to complete (or already hold) a Food Handler’s Certification.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned kitchen shifts and ensure strong execution of standards for food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and inventory.
• Ensure all orders are prepared accurately and on time, meeting quality and safety standards.
• Lead and delegate tasks to Kitchen Operations Associates; serve as primary escalation point for operational challenges.
• Coach team on safety, cleanliness, and execution; model professionalism and urgency.
• Partner with DashMart Shift Leads and Site Leadership to align kitchen and warehouse operations.
• Support facility standards and contribute ideas to improve workflows and site performance.
• Foster a collaborative “One Team” environment within the facility.
