Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen staff member to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and support catering events. The role involves following the menu plan, preparing baked goods, batch cooking, and maintaining clean work areas.

You will work with various equipment, ensure proper temperatures, and assist with inventory and daily production tasks to deliver quality meals for students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, portions, and quantities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; batch cook for quality and presentation.
• Operate equipment (slicers, mixers, ovens) with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with dishwashing and storage.
• Serve items with correct portions and maintain hospitality toward customers.
