Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook with food preparation and presentation at our Chesapeake location. You will manage the dishwashing area, keep dishes clean, and support dining operations as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing items, portioning salads, cleaning kitchen and equipment, setting up the dishwashing area, and assisting with dining room service. You will provide superior customer service to residents and guests while maintaining

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to follow simple instructions and apply them to duties.
• Able to stand, kneel and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects up to 20 feet.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested.
• Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, floors and equipment.
• Set up and run the dishwashing operation, clean pots and pans.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Take out all garbage and keep area clean.
