Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing items, portioning salads and desserts, stocking shelves, and assisting in dining room service. Candidates should be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work under supervision while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Good teamwork and ability to work with others as part of a dining operation.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operation and equipment.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and apply them to the role.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested.
• Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors, and equipment.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation; keep dishwasher clean.
• Check water temperatures and sanitation equipment.
• Take out all garbage.
• Assist with dining room service when needed.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator.
• Report problems in kitchen or dining room to supervisor.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
