Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide in Charleston, SC. You will assist the cook with food preparation, maintain dishwashing duties, and support dining room service while upholding sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include food prep, plate presentation, kitchen cleaning, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth dining operations for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to work under close supervision.
• Possess basic knowledge of kitchen operation and use of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to understand and retain simple instructions and apply them to position.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in the preparation and presentation of food.
• Manage dishwashing area and keep dishes, silverware, and glassware clean.
• Prepare food items as requested; portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors, and equipment.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation and maintain cleanliness of dishwasher.
• Clean pots and pans as needed.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Take out garbage and assist with dining room service as needed.
