Job summary

gategroup in the United States (Honolulu area) is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, transportation coordination, and safety programs. You will supervise 30+ hourly employees, ensure adherence to policies, and work with HR on performance and corrective actions.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, training, and daily manpower planning to meet flight schedules and maintain high quality service. ServSafe certification is preferred and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a high-volume food production, manufacturing, or catering environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Corporate, customer, Federal, State and local policies and procedures.
• Supervise and support lower management on daily operations.
• Coordinate Transportation routing and flight delivery assignments; ensure timely kitchen departures.
• Work with maintenance staff for preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
• Conduct inventory of Gate Gourmet products to minimize waste.
• Prepare monthly projections with Ops/General Manager and produce management reports.
• Train and coach employees; manage performance and corrective actions as needed.
• Balance workload across shifts and plan daily manpower.
