Job summary

Texas Roadhouse, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all Back of House operations, including purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting food to defined standards.

You will lead a team, enforce policies, monitor ticket times, manage inventory and safety, and optimize food costs and labor. The role offers opportunities for development, competitive benefits, and a dynamic, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience managing kitchen operations in a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices.
• Experience training and developing back-of-house staff.
• Proven ability to control costs and optimize waste.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production and preparation per recipes and procedures.
• Enforce employment policies and maintain cleanliness and guest safety.
• Direct productivity to meet ticket times efficiently.
• Manage Back of House staff performance, including coaching.
• Provide daily feedback during one-on-ones with employees.
• Conduct Taste & Temp checks for inventory and safety.
• Oversee handling, storage, and maintenance of items.
• Manage food costs, waste, and kitchen labor costs.
• Schedule hours and tasks for Back of House before/after opening.
• Train staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Review applications and assist hiring decisions.
• Create a safe, fun, and clean work environment aligned with values.
