Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and oversee cooking, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables while ensuring food is delicious and prepared to order. You’ll also order food and train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You will keep the kitchen clean and stocked, maintain equipment, and promote teamwork to deliver a great customer experience. This role emphasizes leadership, safety, and high standards across the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized.
• Monitor equipment and ensure it is well maintained and repaired promptly.
• Ensure safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventories.
