Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders while maintaining food quality, safety, and a strong team dynamic to deliver an excellent customer experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on cooking, inventory management, and helping crew achieve station goals on a fast-paced line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; fixing issues quickly.
• Ensuring safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
