Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Hamden, CT is seeking a Kitchen Leader. You will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while modeling teamwork and training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The role focuses on food quality, safety, inventory control, and delivering a great customer experience. You’ll lead by example, manage station throughput, maintain equipment, and ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and well stocked.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food quality and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, sanitized, and well maintained.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment; arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO Inventory documentation.
