Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Colchester, CT seeks a Kitchen Leader to learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You will ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean and well stocked, maintain equipment, and promote teamwork for a great customer experience. Previous restaurant experience and a high school diploma are required; tuition assistance and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures; ensure food is cooked and prepared to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support strong team dynamics between back of house and front of house.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and properly stocked; maintain equipment.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
