Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Hartford, CT is hiring a Kitchen Leader to learn and oversee food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll ensure delicious, safe, and consistent meals, manage food orders, and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders while promoting teamwork and a great guest experience.

The role focuses on following Chipotle procedures, keeping the kitchen clean and stocked, maintaining equipment, and supporting a positive, efficient environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Willingness to learn food safety and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair faulty equipment promptly.
• Ensure all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
