Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Portland, ME is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and oversee food prep, cooking to order, and daily kitchen operations. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders while maintaining quality, safety, and a great customer experience.

You will lead a busy kitchen, monitor inventory and waste, and ensure cleanliness and equipment upkeep, while upholding Chipotle’s standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure repairs are made quickly.
• Ensure kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
