Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and manage how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure food quality, safety, organization, stock, and equipment maintenance, and serve as a role model promoting teamwork for a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with crew members and customers to ensure excellent service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized properly.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure quick repairs when needed.
• Ensure the kitchen and crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO inventory documentation.
