Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Westminster, CA is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while ensuring quality and safety. You’ll order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s delicious food, keeps the kitchen clean and stocked, and fosters teamwork between back of house and front of house. This role emphasizes coaching, efficiency, and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Able to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and arrange repairs when needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
