Job summary

West Elm, a brand under Williams-Sonoma, Inc., is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced specialty retail environment. You will use proven selling techniques, share in-depth product knowledge, and contribute to a high-energy team focused on reaching sales goals.

You should be able to assist with gift services, catalog orders, and special requests while maintaining accurate register transactions and presenting appealing visual merchandising.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer service experience and retail sales experience (specialty retail preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere, friendly and energetic customer service by exemplifying World-Class service standards.
• Achieve established sales and contest goals; maintain knowledge of current promotions.
• Assist customers with services including gift wrap, gift registry, catalog/ special orders and deliveries.
• Utilize effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity.
• Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, features and benefits.
• Operate POS system for sales, returns and exchanges accurately.
• Assist in visual merchandise presentation, signage and lighting maintenance.
• Uphold store maintenance and cleanliness, stockroom upkeep, and restocking as needed.
• Process, ticket, and restock merchandise as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and comply with company policies.
