Job summary

Marmic Fire and Safety Co. in Leland, NC is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers on-site for commercial and residential settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.

Responsibilities

• Install new kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers according to manufacturer specifications, local safety regulations, and NFPA codes.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems and extinguishers per NFPA 10, NFPA 17-17A, and UL 300.
• Diagnose and perform on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and ensure detailed records are submitted daily.
• Communicate professionally with clients to schedule service and provide system maintenance recommendations.
• Adhere to NFPA codes, manufacturer specs, and local fire codes; maintain a safe work environment.
