Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers.

The role requires on-site work for commercial and residential kitchens, strong customer service, and adherence to safety standards. The technician will handle system setup, routine maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with NFPA and UL codes and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems and extinguishers is a plus but not required for entry-level.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting over 50 lbs and working in confined spaces.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers.
• Inspect and maintain extinguishing systems per NFPA 10, NFPA 17-17A, UL 300.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot on-site emergency issues with fire suppression systems.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and obtain customer signatures daily.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and provide updates on work.
