Job summary

Marmic Fire and Safety, a leading fire protection company, is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician. The role covers installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers on-site for commercial and residential kitchens.

You will work with multiple brands, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide outstanding customer service. You will diagnose issues, document inspections, and stay current with NFPA codes and industry practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Install kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers per manufacturer specs, NFPA codes, and safety regs.
• Inspect fire extinguishers per NFPA 10 and kitchen systems per NFPA 17-17A and UL 300.
• Maintain and repair pre-engineered restaurant systems from brands like ANSUL, Pyro Chem, RangeGuard, Kidde, and Piranha.
• Diagnose on-site issues and perform emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Prepare inspection reports with customer signatures and keep detailed records.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and provide system maintenance recommendations.
• Follow NFPA codes and safety guidelines; ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
