Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers. You’ll work on-site in commercial and residential kitchens, ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant with safety standards.

The role requires technical skill, strong customer service, and a commitment to safety, with on‑call flexibility and ongoing training to stay updated on industry practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
• Ability to perform physical labor, incl. lifting and moving equipment over 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on‑call as needed.
• Pre‑employment background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install new kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers according to manufacturer specs and NFPA codes.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pre‑engineered restaurant fire suppression systems.
• Diagnose and perform on‑site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports with customer signatures and detailed records.
• Communicate effectively with clients to schedule service and provide updates.
• Adhere to NFPA codes, manufacturer specs, and local fire codes for compliance.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.
