Marmic Fire and Safety is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers. This on-site role serves both commercial and residential kitchens, focusing on safety, compliance, and reliable operation.

You will work with NFPA standards, utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment, and coordinate with clients to schedule services, perform preventive maintenance, and provide clear reports on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting over 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers per specs.
• Ensure proper mounting and positioning.
• Conduct NFPA 10 inspections and NFPA 17-17A/UL 300 inspections.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pre-engineered restaurant systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment compliant.
• Diagnose on-site issues and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Prepare inspection reports with customer signatures and detailed records.
• Maintain documentation of inspections and repairs.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and provide updates.
• Offer maintenance recommendations and safety guidance.
• Follow NFPA codes and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay current with industry standards.
