Momentum WORK, Inc. seeks a Kitchen Coordinator to support its Mo’s To-Go catering program and provide hands-on training for program participants in a Santa Barbara setting.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, inventory management, and partnership activities while promoting inclusive career development for participants with disabilities. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of kitchen experience required; five years preferred.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, understand English for business tasks.
• Operate a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to lead in a team-oriented environment; self-motivated and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in on-the-job training for program participants.
• Follow policies and HACCP guidelines; monitor staff and participants for compliance.
• Review ISP reports and set goals for persons served.
• Attend ISP meetings with local service providers.
• Communicate effectively with clients, job coaches, vendors and customers.
• Take orders and work directly with clients in the kitchen.
• Support events and partnerships (Chamber meetings, etc.).
• Assist participants with SerfSave certification.
• Help in the kitchen and manage inventory and stock rotation.
• Ensure proper food storage, temps, and sanitation per health regulations.
