Job summary

Sur La Table in Wichita is seeking a Kitchen Assistant who will support our chefs, engage guests, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment to ensure our class experiences shine.

You will assist with class execution, help drive enrollment and guest satisfaction, uphold food safety standards, and collaborate with team members across the store to deliver outstanding customer experiences throughout every culinary journey.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive enrollment and positive guest feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Set up and breakdown of classes including organizing mise en place, prepping ingredients, and cleaning workstations.
• Maintain food safety standards and sanitation; uphold SOPs and store policies.
