Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. The role focuses on helping deliver exceptional class experiences and driving customer satisfaction in a retail kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for cooking, hospitality, and teamwork, with 1 year of retail and/or food prep experience preferred. Availability for 12–16 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with class execution to drive positive guest feedback.
• Help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and prepare mise en place.
• Assist in organizing and restocking supplies to support store readiness.
• Represent the Sur La Table brand through guest-focused service and teamwork.
