Ventura County Community College District invites applications for a part-time Instructor (Non-Contact/Temporary). Under the general direction of a dean, you will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to diverse students and support attainment of their academic or vocational objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree requirements per CCC minimum qualifications for faculty (Education Code sections 87482.5).
• Combination of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in specified fields or equivalent qualification.
• Equivalency process may be required if exact degree match is not present.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in lectures, labs, or performance courses to diverse students.
• Advise students on programs of study and available support resources.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback on course objectives and outcomes.
• Plan instruction aligned with course outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment and progress; submit required reports.

Education

Master’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education

Bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy

Equivalent* or appropriate California Community College Credential
