Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction in Prekindergarten through Grade 2 under the direction of the lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning, provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, and help create joyful, engaging classrooms where all students can thrive.

This grant-funded role is funded by Title I Part A. It requires 100% effort on approved grant activities, with compensation including an hourly rate and

Qualifications

• At least 48 college hours or bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ year experience with children in classroom or volunteer setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational development under direction of classroom teachers
• Assist with maintaining student records
• Support Tier 1 core instruction with lead teacher
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups
• Monitor student learning and provide feedback
• Communicate progress weekly with students and families
• Support behavior management aligned with campus initiatives
• Help develop a positive school culture and trust-based relationships
• Host tutoring sessions as needed
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties
• Engage in ongoing professional development
